How Circular Dependencies Happen in Django
Here’s a common scenario that can lead to circular dependencies:
- Models Referencing Each Other: When two models reference each other using foreign keys or many-to-many fields, their definitions might require simultaneous imports.
- Interdependent Functions or Classes: When two modules (e.g.,
app1.models
andapp2.models
) rely on each other's functions or classes. - Improperly Structured Imports: If imports are done at the module level without considering dependencies, circular imports can occur.
